Most versions of Microsoft PowerPoint allow video clips, such as AVI files to be imported directly into a slide, allowing them to be viewed as part of a presentation. This option is located under the Insert tab, labeled Video:
Click the Video icon, and the following menu appears:
Click the menu option “Video on My PC..” to launch the File Open dialog, then click “Windows Video File (*.avi)” from the list of Video Files file types:
Select your AVI file to insert, and click Open. The file will appear in your document as a video clip that can be resized, played and looped:
